What is Speech Pathology
A Speech Pathologist is qualified to assess and provide treatment to people with communication problems.
Approximately 386,000
children in Australia have problems with their speech and approximately
577,000 school-aged children have difficulty with language (words,
grammar and how they are put together)*.
Research shows that speech and language disorders in childhood may lead to difficulties with reading and spelling, difficulties with school curriculum, social challenges and low self-esteem.
Seeing a Speech Pathologist as early as possible can help your child to
achieve their best and put them on the path to successful communication!
